Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric echo experience and ARDMS certification for a day shift assignment with call requirements.

Details

• Perform echocardiography in adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and ED settings
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call requirements included
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• ARDMS certification required; CCI may be considered in place of ARDMS
• BLS required; CCI preferred
• ACLS, NIHSS, and Nursys documentation required for consideration
• License required if applicable
• Pediatric echo experience required
• Proficiency in adult and pediatric 2-D echo, color doppler, M-mode, portable studies, RVIT, and RVOT
• Experience with bubble study, imaging with contrast agents, TEE, and routine echo studies
• Pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo experience preferred
• Experience with pediatric anomalies including coarctation of the aorta, tetralogy of fallot, transposition of the great vessels, and related conditions preferred
• Experience with diastology, LV strain/volume, and Simpson's Rule calculations preferred
• Experience with GE, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, Toshiba, Hitachi, and PACS equipment preferred
• Travel experience strongly preferred unless candidate has a strong work history
• Must be comfortable performing procedures on patients in ICU and ED settings

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography studies across adult and pediatric populations in multiple care settings
• Facility conducts its own mandatory onsite drug screening, including for marijuana, with automatic cancellation for positive results
• Candidates should avoid CBD products or other substances that could result in a positive drug screen
• 50-mile local radius rule applies; local candidates are not accepted
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge required
• Management or lead experience preferred
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer or a completion plan must be in place
• License must be in-hand prior to start date
