Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Medical/Surgical unit requiring BLS certification and an active RN license (state or compact).
Details
- Acute Medical/Surgical unit setting
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment with full-time hours
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1
- Uses Epic EMR
- Candidates must be willing to float
Requirements
- Active RN license (Louisiana or compact) required
- BLS certification via AHA required
- BSN preferred
- 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Provides patient and family education based on identified learning needs
- Ceil blue scrubs required
- Temp-to-perm opportunity possible
- Returning employees must have a 6-month separation from any CHRISTUS facility prior to starting a travel assignment
