Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring a PA or compact license and prior telemetry float experience.
Details
- Float position within the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, floating within scope to meet facility needs
- Patient ratios range from 1:4-1:8 under a team nursing model
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- No block scheduling accommodations offered
- Epic charting system used
Requirements
- Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- NIHSS, TCAR, and TCRN certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience with 1:4-8 patient ratios required
- Epic charting experience required
Additional Information
- Care for patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, floating to meet facility staffing needs
- Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and IV therapy are valuable
- Experience with respiratory care, isolation precautions, and cardiovascular monitoring is beneficial
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Preferred RTO of 5 days or less
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
