Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for night shift with every-other-weekend hours, requiring 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience and active MA RN licensure.

Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
• Level III Trauma Center community hospital with 400+ beds including 220 Med Surg beds, ICU, and Maternity
• Adult patient population with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30, with every other weekend required
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• No rotating shifts required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Telemetry competency required, including ability to read telemetry strips
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult ICU population with close physician collaboration
• Flu vaccination required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Free on-site parking available
• Local candidates may be considered, with a 60-mile radius rule from the facility affecting rate eligibility
