Description

American Traveler is hiring a MICU RN for a Level III Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency, along with an active MA RN license.

Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
• Cares for a wide range of adult patients including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day
• Facility includes 220 Med/Surg beds plus ICU, maternity, and other units
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2, or 1:1 for high acuity patients, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
• Day positions are Day Rotate and may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts as needed
• Night shift does not rotate
• 36 or 48hrs schedule with EOW (every other weekend) requirement
• Shift hours of 19:00-07:30 for night positions
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult ICU population with 24-hour attending and resident support
