Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring CNMT certification and 1+ years of experience.

Details

Acute care setting in a Nuclear Medicine unit
Monday-Friday day shift, no weekends, evenings, or call
8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
Uses Allscripts EMR

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB required, or RT registration with NM certification via ARRT
State Radiologic Technologist license for Nuclear Medicine required
License required if applicable

Additional Information

Review patient history and physician orders, and educate patients on procedures and equipment
Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and medications per protocol
Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to changes in status
Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results for quality issues
Enter, transmit, and report scan results
