Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric OR RN for a teaching hospital setting, requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and significant pediatric OR experience.
Details
- Pediatric Operating Room unit within a teaching hospital medical center
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- Epic charting system preferred
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
- Wide range of pediatric surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, craniofacial/plastics, ENT, neurology, gynecology, and robotics
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- BSN required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required, with significant pediatric skillset (mixed adult/peds experience acceptable)
- Teaching hospital experience required and must be reflected in employment history
- CNOR certification preferred
- Experience in general surgery, orthopedics, or neurology preferred
- Proficiency in laparoscopic surgery and surgical scrubbing preferred
- 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for a broad range of pediatric surgical procedures across multiple specialties
- Skills utilized may include electrosurgical safety, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, sterilization, and implant tracking
- Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System for pediatric robotic urologic procedures is a plus
- Travel pairs are allowed but generally not placed on the same unit
- Prior employment with any University of California medical facility or acquired facility must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
- All RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager; no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, and no additional requests accepted mid-contract
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
- Travel experience required for this position
