Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring STEMI and Stroke facility experience with EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department caring for combined adult and pediatric patients in a non-trauma, STEMI and Stroke certified facility
• Special care populations include cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health
• Hospital specialties include cath lab, women's health, and stroke care
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (occasional 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM shifts as needed)
• EOW and holiday coverage required as needed
• No call requirements
• May float to any Cone Health campus as needed
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Emergency Department setting
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed)
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy

• Provide emergency nursing care across all age groups including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health cases

• RTO must be submitted with initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted

• No open background check cases permitted
• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 2-4 hours, with hours varying by unit
