Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg-Tele Float Pool position requiring telemetry proficiency and adaptability across multiple units.

Details

• Float pool position covering Med/Surg-Tele units within a hospital setting
• 12-hour AM shifts, working every other weekend and every other holiday
• 36 hours per week schedule with most Fridays required
• No specific schedule requests accommodated
• Requires ability to adapt quickly to different units, with preference for candidates comfortable floating across 5 different Med/Surg-Tele units
• Uses EPIC and Meditech systems

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
• Meditech IV and telemetry experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Must be able to independently read telemetry strips and pass an on-site exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or higher (up to 2 attempts)
• 3-5 years of previous float experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing Med/Surg-Tele nursing care while floating across multiple hospital units as needed
• No extended RTO permitted during the assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted
