Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years experience and ARDMS certification for a general ultrasound role covering adult, ER, and obstetrics patients.
Details
- Ultrasound Technologist role covering adult, Emergency Department, and Obstetrics patient populations
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
- No weekend shifts unless part of scheduled hours
- No call or float requirements
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- ARDMS certification required, ARDMS OB/GYN preferred
- Allscripts charting experience required
- Altera charting experience preferred
- Experience in adult, ER, and obstetrics ultrasound settings required
- IA license or compact license required in-hand at time of consideration (6-8 week turnaround for IA license); license required if applicable
- At least 2 professional references within 3 years of start date
- Skills in OB/GYN imaging including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester studies, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and nuchal translucency screening
- Experience with general ultrasound imaging including abdominal, biliary, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen studies
- Vascular ultrasound skills including aorta, carotid, and Doppler studies preferred
- Experience with renal/pelvis imaging including bladder, ovaries, uterus, and transvaginal studies
Additional Information
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Perm staff may return as travelers after 6 months of separation
- No RTO permitted during the first week of contract
- No pass/fail orientation testing or pre-hire modules required
- Required certifications must be obtained prior to start date
- Non-billable orientation modules (4 hours) completed prior to start
