Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring 2+ years of IPR and acute care OT experience.

Details

Inpatient Rehabilitation unit within a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital
Level II Trauma Center with a busy Emergency Center
Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with flexible start times between 7am and 5:30pm
Possibility of 1-2 prearranged weekend days per month
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
Minimum 2 years of Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care OT experience required
BLS certification (AHA) required
Compact license not accepted
MI state license required

Additional Information

Evaluate and treat hospitalized patients to help them regain physical and cognitive skills needed for daily living and safe discharge
Facility offers cardiovascular, cancer, orthopedic, and elective surgery services
Dress code requires olive-colored scrubs for the IPR floor, with some flexibility on other colors excluding navy or burgundy
Local candidates within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers
Maximum of 5 days of requested time off allowed during the assignment
