Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring NC or compact RN license and Epic experience.
Details
- Emergency Department setting caring for general adult/pediatric patients
- Patient ratios of approximately 1:4-5 depending on staffing and volume
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend commitment of 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
- Holiday coverage as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Travelers may be floated to any campus within the health system as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
- Charge RN experience preferred
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
- Experience in shock/trauma care including gunshot wounds
- Experience in pediatric emergency care including head injury
- Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge required
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care across general adult and pediatric populations
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam with two attempts allowed; study materials are not provided by the facility
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, and no local rates apply
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Time-off requests must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO accepted
