Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Level III high risk facility, requiring 2.5-3 years of experience and an active NJ or Compact RN license.

Details

• Level III high risk hospital setting in the Labor and Delivery unit
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00
• May float to the High Risk OB unit as needed, which includes 16 rooms caring for early inductions, antepartum, and continuous monitoring patients
• May be assigned to float to up to two nearby lower-volume hospitals, though floating is uncommon for L&D RNs as most deliveries occur at the primary facility
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (NJ or Compact) required, currently in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
• 2.5-3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required, with recent experience within the last 12 months
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing, with only two attempts allowed and must be completed on a PC
• Nursys verification required, dated within 2 weeks of submission, reflecting an active NJ or Compact license

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care in Antepartum and High Risk Antepartum settings
• Willingness to float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB) required
• Complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing before working on the unit
• Scrubs provided by the hospital
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No local rate offered for this position
• RTO must be submitted with the profile at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Block scheduling considered but not guaranteed
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
