Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Adult Rehab Services unit, requiring acute and trauma experience along with a minimum of one year of experience.
Details
- Adult Rehabilitation Services unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Acute and trauma experience required
- Travel between units not required
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Minimum of one year of experience required
- Current BLS certification from AHA required upon hire
- Oklahoma OT license required if applicable
- Strong knowledge of OT principles, practices, and treatment planning
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients and staff
- Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation under physician direction
- Interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized evaluation procedures
- Design and fabricate adaptive equipment and orthotic devices as needed
- Assist with discharge planning including equipment ordering and home therapy instruction
- May supervise students
- Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Compliance documentation and onboarding must begin immediately upon offer due to strict facility deadlines
- Facility requires at least 4 weeks between offer and start date for compliance clearance
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
