Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced M/S Tele Float Pool RN requiring an active MA RN license and willingness to float across 8 units within the hospital.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 Med/Surg Telemetry units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Patient population includes ED border patients, medication administration in acute mental health unit, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Facility bed count of 371 with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days and evenings, up to 6:1 on nights
• Cardiac monitoring responsibilities including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Performs cardiac drips and TR Band procedures
• Uses EPIC EMR charting system
• 36 or 48 hour contract with Day/Evening rotation and every other weekend required
• 1 to 3 rotations to night shift required per contract

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring experience including strip interpretation required
• TR Band experience required
• Cardiac drip administration experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
