Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a Float Pool role requiring self-interpretation of telemetry strips and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Float Pool RN position in a hospital setting
- Medical-Surgical Telemetry patient population
- No dedicated tele techs; RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips
- 12-hour day shift schedule (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing required in hand
- Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of recent acute Medical-Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test and Medication test during onboarding, administered via Zoom prior to acceptance, with only one attempt allowed and no remediation
Additional Information
- Responsible for reading and interpreting own telemetry strips without support from tele techs
- Testing must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation, so candidates should prepare in advance using the provided study guide
- Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
- Maximum of three days RTO accepted for this assignment
- Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted for this role
