Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) for a day-shift position at a children's hospital, requiring at least one year of respiratory care experience.

Details

• Respiratory Care department within a children's-only hospital setting
• Provides respiratory therapy services to patients of all appropriate age levels
• Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 26-week contract with guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Prior experience in a children's-only hospital preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory care experience required
• 2 years of critical care respiratory experience preferred
• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS certification (AHA) required upon hire
• ACLS certification (AHA) required within 3 months of hire
• RRT credential required within 12 months of hire
• License required if applicable
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administers therapeutic treatments as prescribed by medical staff and documents patient response in the computerized medical record
• Acts as a resource person to medical staff regarding respiratory care
• Ensures respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Serves as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Provides age-appropriate care across all patient populations served by the department
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Returning workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
• Compliance requirements, including drug screens and background checks, must begin immediately upon booking, with strict adherence to deadlines
