Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• 14-week assignment length
• Level I Trauma Center environment
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI and ENPC certifications preferred
• 2 years of ER experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills required include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Experience caring for ventilated patients and administering continuous IV sedation preferred
• Triage skills preferred
• At least one supervisor reference from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers considered only if they have Level I trauma ER experience
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• RTO requests longer than 1 week are not approved except under special circumstances, and all RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Returning permanent staff must be separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Candidates with any licensure hits will not be accepted
