Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift assignment requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• PCU/Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care hospital
• Cardiac telemetry patient population with 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float to Telemetry or Med-Surg floors when overstaffed, with travelers prioritized for floating
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or stepdown nursing experience required
• Cardiac drip titration and management experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and teaching hospital
• Care for cardiac telemetry patients including monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Skills include respiratory management (BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC, ABG interpretation), IV therapy, central and PICC line care, and wound care
• Candidates must select one holiday to work, either Thanksgiving or Christmas
• Charge nurse experience and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Scrub color for RNs can be any color
• No parking fee at this facility
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and location
