Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Outpatient Surgery/Same Day Surgery position requiring 2 years of OR circulating experience and pediatric case exposure.

Details

Outpatient Surgery unit with a mix of inpatient and outpatient OR cases (40% inpatient, 60% outpatient, 20% pediatric)
Circulates cases in General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Brachytherapy, Breast, Plastics, Max Face, ENT, Eyes, General, Hematology/Oncology, and Ortho
May float to Main OR
Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours with flexible start times (0700-1530 or 0900-1730)
No weekend shifts, but call coverage required on Saturdays
Call requirements include 2 weekdays and 1 weekend call within a 6-week schedule, with call hours varying by day and no Sunday call
30-minute travel time required for call-back or shift stay-over
Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

Active WA or compact RN license required
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Minimum 2 years of recent OR circulating experience required
Pediatric surgical experience required
Required skillset includes General, GYN, Breast, ENT, Urology, and Pediatric surgery
Experience with blood/blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, drains, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

First-time travelers accepted if they meet experience requirements
Circulate a variety of surgical specialties supporting both inpatient and outpatient procedures
Floating between facilities within the state is expected
Minimal RTO accepted, up to 3 days; no holiday RTO permitted
Former Providence permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months and reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
