Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring documented med/tele experience and BLS/ACLS certification.
Details
- 32-bed Surgical ACE unit serving adult and older adult patients
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Cares for trauma patients receiving heparin drips and all acute medications as ordered
- Uses specialty equipment including gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
- Utilizes Epic EMR
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- No on-call requirements
- Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling not typically approved
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Documented med/tele nursing experience and skills checklist required
- Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma settings required
- Prior experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or NICHE training is a plus
Additional Information
- Work in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
- Candidates must have proven success in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments and experience managing critical, fast-paced situations
- No RTO permitted during assignment
- Mandatory holiday coverage: Thanksgiving Day or the day after, plus either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
