Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT/BLS/ACLS certification for a cardiac and interventional radiology unit.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit setting
- Performs a wide range of IR procedures including vascular, genitourinary, and neurological studies
- Cardiac cath lab procedures including PTCA
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off
- Call requirements include one primary and one backup weekday per month, plus one weekend every 6 weeks alternating between primary and backup
- Uses Siemens imaging equipment and PACS system
- EPIC charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology required
- ARRT and BLS certifications required; ACLS also required
- Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficient with Siemens equipment
- Skilled in venous access, central line care, angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and related IR procedures
- Experience with vascular, genitourinary, and neurological IR studies preferred
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for the second reference; coworker references not accepted
Additional Information
- Perform interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
- Current employees ineligible for travel assignments at this health system
- RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
- First-time travelers not considered; previous IR experience required
