Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment offering 5x8 day shifts.

Details

• Setting: outpatient clinic with some acute care exposure
• Schedule: day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Patient population includes orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary cases
• Treats conditions such as post-op joint replacements, spinal conditions, sports injuries, and developmental delays
• Utilizes modalities including E-stim, ultrasound, traction, and moist heat
• Charting system experience required, any EMR accepted; Altera experience preferred

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• 2 years of outpatient experience required
• Dry Needling and Manual Therapy certifications preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Experience with adaptive devices, gait training, and wound/skin assessment preferred
• Familiarity with pediatric equipment such as orthotics and adaptive devices is a plus

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, and discharge documentation across outpatient and acute settings
• Completes non-billable orientation modules averaging 6-8 hours during onboarding
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with no exceptions for positive results
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could affect drug screening results
• Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer or provide a completion plan
• Previous permanent staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for the travel rate
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have relevant outpatient or acute care experience
