Description

American Traveler is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of acute care RRT experience for a Level 3 NICU/PICU unit on a day shift schedule.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy unit specializing in NICU/PICU care at a tertiary care and teaching facility
• Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center with a Level 3 NICU and Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center designation
• Department structure includes a Director, Manager, one Supervisor/charge therapist per shift, and regular staff
• Utilizes High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo ventilators, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and regular nebulizers
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• May float to cover regular adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, and similar treatments
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RRT license required if applicable
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience required
• Previous NICU/PICU experience preferred
• Meditech documentation system experience preferred

• Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases using advanced technologies and medication delivery methods
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care
• Ideal candidates are team players, critical thinkers, patient-focused, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required uniform color is light gray (silver)
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
