Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/Med Surg RN with MN licensure to work rotating shifts and regular floating to Med Surg.

Details

• Rotating unit assignment between ICU and Med Surg
• 134-bed hospital setting with Level III NICU and large Family Birth Center
• Rotating 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 and 1900-0730) with a 36-hour guarantee
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Regular floating to Med Surg unit expected
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• 2+ years of Critical Care and ICU experience required
• 1+ year of travel nursing experience required
• Med Surg and Telemetry trained required
• Adult population experience required
• Must be able to insert IVs
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to specialty, required
• 2 supervisory references with employment dates required

Additional Information

• Provide compassionate, quality nursing care that assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents patient care
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Candidates residing within a 35 mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers and subject to a reduced rate
• Must disclose any prior work history with the health system or its affiliated entities
• MN DHS Background Study and fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
• Strict compliance deadline of 4pm the Wednesday before start date with no exceptions
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application as post-submittal requests may not be honored
• Temporary MN nursing license accepted if candidate has applied for permanent licensure and holds the temporary license at time of submission
