Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a 7P-7A night shift position requiring acute care stroke experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• 31-bed Med-Surg/Oncology unit within the main tower
• Patient ratios of 6:1
• 12-hour night shifts (7P-7A) with rotating weekends
• Floating required to other Med-Surg and Tele units
• Documentation via Meditech
• Techs available on all shifts with unit secretaries on duty 6am-10pm

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience required
• Experience caring for acute care stroke patients required
• Strong physical assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills required
• Knowledge of core measures and prevention of HACs/HAIs required
• Chemo experience is a plus
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
