Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Ultrasound department performing Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatric, Basic Vascular, and small parts studies
• May perform interventional procedures
• Rotates within department, divisions, and off-site clinics by shift as needed
• Shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Ultrasound Program
• Minimum of 12 months full-time clinical ultrasound experience required
• ARDMS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient identification, prepping, and gathering relevant clinical history prior to exams
• Reviews patient chart for pertinent clinical history, test results, and laboratory data
• Explains exams to patients while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct
• Follows universal precaution and safety techniques appropriate to patient status
• Maintains knowledge of all equipment used and reports malfunctions to appropriate personnel
• Completes documentation, PACS, RIS, and reporting functions for each exam
• Prepares equipment, rooms, and supplies for patient exams and daily use
• Transports and transfers patients according to departmental guidelines
• Participates in continuing education to stay current with imaging techniques and equipment
• Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates accepted, but must reside at least 60 miles from Boston for standard travel rate eligibility
