Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Surgical Telemetry position requiring 2 years of med-surg experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

Surgical Telemetry Unit with 19 beds
Staffed with a mix of RN, LVN, and PCT with a charge nurse on each shift
Patient ratio of 1:6
Uses Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines
Meditech EMR
Day shift schedule from 7A-7P
Floating required to Ortho Trauma and Inpatient Rehab

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical experience required
US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

Perform ambulation of patients and PRN wound care
Unit has a dedicated admission/discharge team to support patient flow
Supportive team culture with staff who assist one another during busy shifts
Royal blue scrub attire required
Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
