Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Circulator for Operating Room/Orthopedic surgical services requiring active RN licensure and willingness to float across specialties.

Details

• Work within a Surgical Services department featuring 15 OR suites, including hybrid and cardiothoracic rooms, along with PACU, sterile supply, and pharmacy support areas
• RN Circulator role focused on Orthopedic surgical cases
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• Call required one night per week and every third weekend
• 13-week contract assignment
• Must be willing to work in other specialties as needed

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in KY or compact
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior OR experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the care team

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients using evidence-based practice and the nursing process
• Coordinate patient assessments, treatments, and discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Delegate and oversee patient care activities performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and core measures tracking
• Promote a positive, healing environment through professional communication and teamwork
