Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nurse Manager for a high-volume Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Electrophysiology program, requiring NJ or compact RN licensure and at least 5 years of leadership experience in a cath lab or EP lab setting.

Details

• Leads operations for a large-scale cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology program at a complex medical center/teaching institution
• Program is expanding from 5 Cath Labs and 4 EP Labs to 7 Cath Labs and 6 EP Labs
• Includes a robust regional cardiogenic shock program and one of the largest structural heart programs in the country
• AM shift with flexible start times between 7a-9a
• Schedule of 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week, totaling 38 hours weekly
• On-call responsibilities required
• May float to a sister hospital as needed
• Uses Epic for charting
• Temp-to-perm opportunity available

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology lab, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Minimum 5 years of management experience required
• Experience managing large-volume labs (4-5 labs minimum)
• Critical care or high-risk care experience required
• Strong knowledge of interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures, equipment, and protocols
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex operations
• Proven track record of driving innovation and improving clinical outcomes in high-volume cardiovascular settings

Additional Information

• Direct and oversee daily operations of the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs to ensure optimal workflow and patient throughput
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional healthcare regulations and safety standards
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of Cath and EP lab personnel
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure high-quality patient care
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives including clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, benchmarking, and adoption of best practices
• Serve as a liaison with hospital leadership on strategic planning and service line growth
• Support expansion and integration of new procedure rooms to accommodate growing patient volumes
