Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk, high-acuity, and circulating experience at a high-volume delivery center.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• High-risk and high-acuity obstetric patient population
• Circulating duties required
• Facility performs 200-300 deliveries per month
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 36 hrs/week
• Must be comfortable floating to Postpartum 1-2 shifts per week
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR, with EPIC STORK experience preferred

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• AWHONN certification for fetal monitoring
• NRP certification
• At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk experience required
• Circulating experience required
• High acuity experience required
• Experience within the past year at a high-volume delivery center (200-300 deliveries/month) required
• Scrub experience preferred
• Multiple completed travel contracts preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary team providing patient care
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible for travel positions in other UPH markets within 12 months
• Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limited time-off requests permitted around the winter holiday period
• First-time travelers may be considered
