Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a Level 3 Trauma Center in Sioux City, IA, requiring 2+ years of PACU experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit setting within a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 12-hour day shifts, generally starting between 6:30am-10am
• Every third weekend on-call, either 12 or 24 hours, with potential 2-4 on-call nights weekly
• May be required to float to the ICU, cross-training available, but travelers will not take ICU patients and will serve as a resource instead
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• Skills checklist specific to PACU required
• One supervisory reference or performance evaluation completed within the last two years required

• Contribute professional and clinical nursing knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
