Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night-shift position requiring an active IL RN license, an IA license (or compact), and oncology experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes medical, oncology, and neuro cases
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 3x12 schedule
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• IA RN license also required, or proof of application for IA single-state or compact license
• 2 years of Med Surg and Telemetry experience required
• Some oncology experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• Current resume/work history required
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year required
• One supervisory reference within 2 years of employment/contract required

Additional Information

• Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Facility is a Level 1 trauma center
• Holiday coverage required, working 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limited time-off requests permitted during winter holiday periods
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
