Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health position requiring 1+ year of PT experience and a valid state license.

Details

Home health setting covering Dayton, Brookville, Eaton, and West Alexandria
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, day shift (8:00-17:00), no weekends required though flexible scheduling allows weekend visits if desired
Weekly productivity expectation of 7 visits per day or 35 visits per week
Uses Home Care Home Base EMR system

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
Active state license required if applicable
CPR certification required
Experience with home exercise programs, gait training, and assistive devices preferred
Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic patient populations preferred
Experience with equipment such as Hoyer lifts, walkers, slings, and sliding boards preferred
Strong time management and documentation skills required

Additional Information

Training provided for candidates without prior Home Care Home Base experience
Responsibilities include patient assessment, home exercise program development, and patient/family education
Focus on safety, injury prevention, and identifying environmental barriers in the home setting
Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
Maximum of 14 days of requested time off allowed per contract
Longer contract available extending through end of March
