Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 2 years of specialty experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting.

Details

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab plus EP lab setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Daily caseload of 2-3 cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses PACS equipment and fluoroscopy
• 4x9 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotating days off
• On-call required 13-15 days per month including rotating weekend call
• Epic charting preferred but other EMR experience accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in cardiac cath lab specialty
• ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• AZDHS MRT State Radiologic Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
• ARRT CI, ARRT VI certifications preferred
• Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left heart catheterizations, PCI, cardiac ablation, mapping, cardioversion, and angioplasty required
• Experience with right heart catheterization, Impella insertion, IABP placement/removal, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, ASD closures, and cardiac implant closure devices preferred
• Skilled in equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and maintaining sterile field
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for maintaining equipment, stocking supplies, and inventory management
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates not accepted; must live at least 75 miles from the facility
