Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a role requiring 2+ years of IR experience and proficiency with vascular, neuro, and GU procedures at an academic teaching hospital.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit at an academic teaching medical center
• Outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU patient population
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call rotation averaging 10 days per month, including a weekend
• No floating required outside of unit scope

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of IR technologist experience
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required; ARRT Advanced Certification preferred (license required if applicable)
• Teaching hospital experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic experience required
• Experience with PACS, C-Arm, contrast administration, and biopsies required
• Proficiency with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy, peripherals, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, GU, abdominal/pelvic, and upper/lower extremity procedures
• Must be able to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, and snare kits
• Experience with injector systems, ACIST preferred
• Skills in venous access, port and central line management, PICC line care, angioplasty, embolization, IVC filter placement, TIPS, dialysis graft interventions, carotid stenting, and endovascular interventions

Additional Information

• Performs a wide range of vascular, neurological, and genitourinary IR procedures including liver biopsy, ablations, kyphoplasty, and esophageal stent placement
• Works with Siemens IR equipment and PACS systems
• Scrubs provided
• Onsite parking available at no cost

• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 70 miles from the facility
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
