Description
American Traveler is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist for a night shift contract position providing critical care and infant transport services.
Details
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting
- Responsible for transport of infants to/from referral health systems
- Uses Epic EMR
- Straight night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- No holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Less than 1 year of experience required
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic treatments and assist physicians
- Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
- Identify and document significant changes in patient condition and communicate with care team
- Perform pain assessments and take appropriate action per protocol
- Complete documentation including order entry, EMR charting, and incident reports
- Process patient charges and verify reports as needed
- Disassemble, clean, and maintain respiratory equipment per protocol
- Deliver high-quality critical care in accordance with organizational patient care guidelines
