Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift role requiring telemetry monitoring experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

Work in the PCU (Progressive Care Unit/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) at a hospital setting
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
Cares for MS/Tele and PCU patient population requiring cardiac monitoring
Performs telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Utilizes Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
Provides respiratory support including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
Performs IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and isolation precautions/PPE
2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

Responsibilities include ongoing telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response coordination
Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for traveler roles
Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
