Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring AK licensure and prior travel experience.
Details
- 17-bed LDRP unit handling labor, postpartum, couplet care, and triage
- Approximately 80 deliveries per month
- 12-hour night shift schedule
- Floating to all departments required as needed
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
- On-call requirement of 3 shifts per 6-week period
- Holiday coverage per unit's needs
Requirements
- Active AK RN license required (or must start application within 24 hours of acceptance if not already licensed)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Fetal Monitoring certification required
- 3+ years of recent Labor and Delivery experience in a hospital setting required
- Recent experience with postpartum, couplet care, and circulating for C-Sections required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- 5+ years of RN experience preferred
Additional Information
- Free housing provided for 1 occupant; pet units not available
- Up to 14 days of time off may be requested, including a maximum of 4 weekend shifts
- All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
- Candidate's permanent residence must be 50+ miles outside of Fairbanks
