Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PICU position requiring 5 years of PICU experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the PICU at a pediatric teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• 1:2 patient ratio
• May float to other UCSF facilities as needed within a 75+ mile radius
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and PALS certifications required
• 5 years of PICU experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Experience with respiratory, cardiovascular, neurologic, renal, and medication management skills relevant to PICU care
• Proficiency with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric ICU patients, including those requiring respiratory, cardiovascular, neurologic, and renal support
• Pediatric CVICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager; no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
