Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with at least 2 years of ED experience, preferably in a trauma center, and prior travel contract experience for a day shift assignment.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Floating required in rotation with facility staff according to clinical experience and facility policy
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

Requirements

• Active RN license (LA state or compact) required
• Minimum of 2 years of ED experience required, trauma center experience preferred
• At least one prior travel contract required, additional travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI
• NRP and ENPC certifications preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care within a fast-paced ED environment
• CPI certification training available onsite for candidates who do not already hold it
• Expected to work some holidays with minimal requests for time off during the assignment
• No time off should be scheduled during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full calendar weeks during the contract
• Any time off requests must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment
• Completion of approximately 4 hours of non-billable training modules through HealthStream required
