Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a float pool night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and an OK or compact RN license.

• Float pool position within the Med Surg unit
• Critical Care/Med Surg specialty patient population
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 shifts
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Floating required
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• 1 year of recent experience in the specialty required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal documentation is provided
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide and coordinate patient care for assigned patients
• Assesses and documents patient education needs and learning abilities in the computerized care plan
• Performs patient hand-offs using safety tools such as SBAR and bedside reporting
• Communicates patient data with multidisciplinary team members and physicians
• Participates in process improvement activities including data collection and in-services
• Completes required hospital and nursing competencies, mandatory in-services, and certifications
• Black scrub color required
• Local candidates accepted with a reduced bill rate for those within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or reassignment outside the radius
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months allowed
