Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Acute Care Float position requiring stepdown experience and a current AR or Compact RN license.

Details

• Float position supporting ER hold, overflow units, adult and geriatric psych, and inpatient rehab units
• May be responsible for pediatric patients when floated to the ER depending on experience level
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• 36 or 48 hours per week considered

Requirements

• Active AR or Compact State RN license in good standing, license in-hand required
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Stepdown experience required; critical care experience preferred
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care and nursing leadership within the care team
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans through a Shared Governance model
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote evidence-based, patient- and family-centered care
• Position is designated safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana
• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing; a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
