Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role, requiring ARRT (VI) or CCI RCIS certification and at least 1 year of applicable IR experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital
• Scrub position supporting a busy IR lab
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekend on-call coverage and rotating 1x weekly evening on-call required
• No floating between units within the facility, though floating between sister facilities nearby may be expected
• Uses Epic for charting
• Performs a wide range of vascular, GI, GU, and neurological IR procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS, EVAR/TEVAR, and dialysis graft interventions
• Utilizes fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and Philips/Siemens imaging equipment

Requirements

• ARRT (VI) or CCI RCIS certification required, ARRT (VI) preferred over ARRT (R)
• BLS certification required
• WA state license required, compact license must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of applicable IR experience as an ARRT (VI) technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist; ARRT (R) IR Technologist with scrub experience also considered
• Scrub experience maintaining sterile field required
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) preferred
• EKG lead placement and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias skills preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include room circulator duties, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, equipment set up, accurate patient monitoring, and access site prep
• Position offers reduced non-billable orientation
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must respond to whether they have previously worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff, including location and dates if applicable
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travampler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-submission requests may not be granted
