Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with dual certification in Mammography and Radiologic Technology, requiring 2+ years mammography experience and breast tomosynthesis training, for an outpatient clinic serving the Western Navajo Nation.
Details
- Outpatient diagnostic imaging setting performing screening and diagnostic digital mammography, including 2D mammography and 3D breast tomosynthesis, as well as radiologic x-ray services
- Performs special procedures including stereotactic biopsy, ductograms, and needle localization procedures
- Assists the radiologist with special mammographic procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday
- Uses Allscripts EMR
- Holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Completion of radiology training from an AMA approved school of Radiology
- Minimum 2 years experience in mammography and 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist
- Experience with stereotactic biopsy, ductograms, and needle localization procedures
- Breast tomosynthesis training required
- Current ARRT certification in Radiology with qualifications in Mammography (RT)(M)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- State license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Serves communities throughout the Western Navajo Nation, Hopi, and San Juan Southern Paiute populations at an outpatient facility
- Orientation occurs every two weeks
- COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted with a submitted declination form
- Housing may be available but is limited and not guaranteed, and does not allow pets or family
