Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NJ or compact RN license and circulating/scrubbing for C-sections.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit assignment
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- 1:6 patient ratio, may float to facilities with higher volumes
- Required to float within a network of five hospitals based on staffing needs
- May be required to float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Circulate and scrub for C-sections
- Block scheduling not permitted
Requirements
- Active NJ or compact RN license required, verified via Nursys within 2 weeks of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required, with BLS not expiring within 30 days of assignment start
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must pass dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing (PC required, iOS not compatible), limited to two attempts
- Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
- Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
Additional Information
- Provide labor and delivery nursing care including fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, and postpartum care
- Scrubs provided by the hospital
- One winter holiday and one summer holiday coverage required
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted
- No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
- First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
- Local rate applies to candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
