Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric Acute RN for a night shift contract role requiring PALS certification and at least 3 years of pediatric nursing experience.

Details

Acute care pediatric unit within a hospital setting
Supports patients of all ages and their families
Night shift schedule (1800-0630)
13-week contract assignment
Uses Allscripts EMR
Holiday coverage required

Requirements

Active RN license from any US state, Puerto Rico, or a US territory
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
Must complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) within 6 months of hire
Must complete NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of hire

Additional Information

Perform a variety of nursing care procedures based on physician orders, standards of care, and hospital policy
Work independently in completing patient care assignments
Orientation occurs every 2 weeks
COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted with a declination form
Located in a rural area with limited shared housing available for $600/month based on availability (no family or pets allowed)
Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date
First-time travelers may be considered
