Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position offering night shifts and requiring at least 1 year of recent experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg unit with 30 beds
• Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including pneumonia, post-surgical care, and alcohol withdrawal
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses remote telemetry equipment
• Charting is done in Meditech
• Night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No extra call beyond possible low census call
• Floating to other departments required, excluding ICU and OB

Requirements

• Active RN license (State or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• RN degree required
• AHA certifications required

Additional Information

• Deliver direct patient care within a collaborative Med/Surg team environment
• Scrubs of any color accepted, or scrubs provided by facility
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
