Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with ortho trauma and general surgery experience for a 13-week travel assignment requiring an active Massachusetts RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
• 10-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Requires 2 on-call shifts per month
• Performs surgical procedures across specialties including Endoscopic, Laser, ENT, Ortho, Plastic, Podiatry, Neuro, General, Thoracic, Urology, and Vascular

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Ortho trauma and general surgery OR experience required, neuro experience a plus
• Current Operating Room experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Demonstrated working knowledge of aseptic technique principles
• Demonstrated technical skill operating complex surgical equipment
• Must pass ECG/Tele and Medications tests with one attempt only prior to acceptance
• Flu vaccination required prior to start, medical exemptions accepted
• COVID vaccine plus booster required, medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care during surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• No more than 3 consecutive days of RTO will be approved
• Candidates who have worked at this health system within the last six months (travel, per diem, or perm) will not be considered
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, local candidates will not be accepted
• No floating or charge responsibilities required for this role
