Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit requiring an active MA RN license and ECG/telemetry and medication testing during onboarding.
Details
- 8-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit (ACE) focused on geriatric patients with behavioral disturbances and medical issues such as dementia, confusion, and impulsivity
- Patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1 with 1-2 CNAs supporting the day shift
- 12-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
- Weekend and holiday shifts required
- No floating or charge responsibilities required
- No on-call requirements
- Biweekly orientation schedule
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required in hand
- Must pass ECG/telemetry and medication competency tests during onboarding with an 85% passing score and only one attempt allowed
- Experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing required
- Experience caring for geriatric patients with behavioral or cognitive conditions preferred
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry-based medical-surgical nursing care to geriatric patients with behavioral and cognitive challenges
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and local candidates will not be accepted
- Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month separation from any BILH facility before being considered
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
- COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
